Digital.CSIC has recently become part of the Directory of Institutional Repositories in REBIUN, allowing you to have greater visibility.

 

The working group "Repositories" REBIUN, created in the XIX Assembly REBIUN, is responsible for maintaining the repository directory in the web of REBIUN and coordinating the updating and maintenance of data offered.

 

Digital.CSIC, institutional repository of the Spanish National Research Council, born in October 2007 at the initiative of the URICI and managed by the Digital.CSIC Office. It is a repository open access that organizes, preserves and disseminates scientific production centers and institutes of CSIC: scientific articles, conference papers, working papers, books and parts of books, datasets, theses, informative and educational material, memories, patents, software, etc.

 

Digital.CSIC currently has 127,762 available records, which a 61.96% is in open access. 150 intitutes are registered and has 1,242 collections.

 

The Digital.CSIC Office provides information and support to both researchers and librarians CSIC with information and useful documentation for open publication, dissemination of open access projects that it makes in the institution and maintains a service document repository for many centers that do not have a library.

 

Digital.CSIC has an important international projection occupying 14th place in the classification of institutional repositories on a total of 2,205 repositories, the 19th in the world rankings from 2,297 in total and ranking the 7th European total 910.

 

In December 2015 it has obtained the quality distinction Data Seal of Approval (DSA) in recognition of compliance with national and international guidelines for archiving digital data.
