Available the 2019 Journal Citation Reports (JCR)

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is one of the best known and most valued quality indicators by research evaluation bodies. It measures the impact of a journal based on a combination of metrics and indicators such as the number of citations received for articles published and collected on the Web of Science WOS.
The 2019 edition covers information on 11,877 academic journals published in 81 countries. It has included 283 new titles, of which 108 are in open access. Sixty-four per cent of the journals show an increase in their Journal Impact Factor (JIF). And, among other new features, it adds three new categories in one of its series: Quantum Science & Technoloogy (SCIE), Development Studies (SSCI) and Regional & Urban Planning (SSCI). This set of data provides a greater understanding, not only of the value of a given journal as judged by the scientific community, but also of its overall place in communication and research advancement.
For the CSIC Library and Archive Network it is an important tool because researchers seek to publish in the journals that are best positioned in that ranking.
