From November 15, 2022 to November 15, 2023, more than 3,000 Elsevier monographs will be available to all CSIC centers and libraries. These are ebooks of collections that this publisher has published in 2021 and 2022 (some of the latter year, still pending edition).

Also to be open to CSIC during these 12 months are the 2019-2020 copyrighted ebooks of several subjects that register a lot of use in the CSIC community (whether journals or books): Agricultural, Biological, and Food Sciences and Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology and 2020 Chemistry and Materials Science.

After this 12-month access period, a selection of the most consulted monographs will be made with a view to their permanent acquisition.

These more than 3,000 monographs are already available on Elsevier's ScienceDirect platform and incorporated into our Virtual Library.

The CSIC currently owns more than 1,200 ebooks from this firm. And, in addition to several Reference Works, it also offers 180 BookSeries, in which more than 3,000 independent volumes have been published. Although there are eBooks from all disciplines, the largest number of titles belong to Agricultural Sciences, Biology and Biochemistry, Environment, Chemistry and Physics, Materials and Earth Sciences.
