Nous vídeos divulgatius sobre el Mandat CSIC d'Accés Obert

3 videos are available on the CSIC open access mandate that aim to maximize knowledge and understanding of this provision of the CSIC Presidency in force since April 1, 2019.

The main video addresses the main mandatory and secondary provisions of the mandate, contextualizing this institutional provision within the CSIC's formal commitment to open access to research results since the CSIC Presidency signed the Berlin Declaration in 2006 and the global transformations in science communication. The CSIC open access mandate requires the institutional scientific community to deposit its peer-reviewed publications and associated research data in the institutional repository DIGITAL.CSIC. Open access to such publications should be provided in DIGITAL.CSIC as soon as possible, without violations of the current intellectual property framework, and the research data should be FAIR. This video also reviews the services offered to the institutional community for compliance.

The second video collects the main frequently asked questions from the CSIC research community around the mandatory provisions while the third video focuses on the CSIC Mandate Monitor Portal where the repository team publishes, on an annual basis, the results of the analysis of the degree of compliance with the mandate provisions both at the CSIC aggregate level and at the CSIC institute level. In addition, this video explains other supplementary data collected in the analysis and made public on the Portal, as well as an overview of the balance of the last edition of the Portal, regarding the degree of compliance of the CSIC scientific production affected by 2022.

The elaboration and editing of the videos have been carried out by the Technical Office of DIGITAL.CSIC (URICI) and we are grateful for the invaluable collaboration of the Communication Office of the CSIC Presidency and the team of the CSIC Center for Human and Social Sciences for the voiceover and voice recording of the 3 videos.
