The satisfaction survey with CSIC's library services will remain open until 30 October to users of the CSIC's Library and Archive Network.

The survey is part of project 7 of the CSIC's Quality Management Plan "Quality in Scientific Information and Library Services", which has among its main objectives the carrying out of user satisfaction surveys.

The aim is to find out the satisfaction of internal and external users with the service received and to find out how these levels of satisfaction have evolved over time.

The CSIC, through its Scientific Information Resources for Research Unit (URICI), has agreements with some publishers to support (thanks to discounts in the APCs) the publication in open access of articles by CSIC authors.

During the month of August the CID Library will provide the following services remotely (non-face-to-face):

• Interlibrary loan and access to the external document

• Information and bibliographic inquiries

• Personal loan (check conditions)

• Complete Digital.CSIC service (including delegated archiving service)

• Management of user cards, PAPI, resolution of incidents related to access to databases, electronic journals, etc.

• Phone attention

• Web attention

• User training

The common e-book collection of the CSIC Library and Archive Network has increased by 3,630 new titles in 2020, adding to the current e-book collection of 556,027 titles. These books acquired in the months of May and June are already activated and available to everyone. The titles, by Brill, the Institute of Physcis and Springer, complete and update the collections of these publishers that have existed until now in the CSIC Virtual Library.
